  • We'll explore your areas of interest and related themes, reviewing previous clients’ completed ideal job statements. You'll begin crystalizing what an Ideal Job looks like for you - not just the outline, but the details too.

After you've had time to refine your Ideal Job Statement, we'll go over it in detail to get a better understanding of your career and job priorities.

  • With your ideal job or promotion in mind, we'll analyze your resume. We begin with resume “Do’s and Don’ts (like the importance of accomplishment-based statements) and do an extensive edit (if needed) of how you present yourself.

We'll finalize and approve your revised resume, then go over your Cover Letter to look for any needed revisions and enhancements.

  • We explore how to find an Internship or Job (via job sites, company websites, etc.) and begin looking at the Importance of Networking. We'll review your Networking List and discuss techniques for the initial Networking communication process and follow-up. Over time, we review any networking responses you receive and/or interview appointments, discussing next steps.

  • It's time to explore the concept and importance of Your Personal Brand! After reviewing examples of Personal Brand Assessments, you'll complete ECEC's Personal Brand Workshop as homework. After we review your progress, you'll begin testing for alignment between how you see your brand and how those who know you best see you.

  • Prepare for Interviews: You benefit from my decades of experience in interviewing by learning ECEC's Tips for Interview Preparation and ECEC's Framework for Successful Interviews: Building Your Foundation; Presenting Yourself; Prioritizing Your Relevant Skills & Strengths; Preparing for Behavioral-Based Interviews; Situationals; Connecting The Dots; Reviewing Common Technical Questions (regardless of industry); Reviewing Due Diligence Questions; Preparing Your Close.

Practice with Mock Interviews: We begin with an initial Mock Interview and debrief afterwards, reviewing the importance of impactful interview techniques (like high energy, voice inflection, length/depth of answers, listening for impact, establishing your authenticity and sincerity, knowing your interviewer, etc.)

Interview Follow-up: We then introduce effective interview follow-up (customized thank-you notes, etc.) and conduct a second in-depth Mock Interview plus debriefing.

Supporting You throughout the Interview Process: Over time, we review any interview appointments, discussing next steps and recapping after your interviews.

  • So you've received an offer, or you're about to…

How do you prepare to discuss salaries, terms, sign-on bonuses, stock that you might be leaving on the table?

How do you make sure you're maximizing the offer and being compensated properly? How do you weigh offers and compare them?

What if you're not happy with the initial offer? Can and how should you negotiate salary?

Have you done your due diligence before? Did you look at the company culture, values, the team you might be joining, its management style?

For students and young professionals who may have a lot of irons in the fire, if you get an offer but the timing is off (maybe you're waiting for something else), how do you defer it and put what you need out front?

We discuss all this and more, preparing you with the essentials to successfully negotiate an offer that positions you for success.

  • How do you make a great first impression when you're joining a firm, company or new team within a company?

In corporate life, first impressions are CRITICAL, whether as an intern or at the senior level. There's a process.

The best time to network is when you're joining a team or company, and with the ECEC framework, you network from the inside out - with the team around you, your immediate team (learning about each other), then slowly over time you broaden that sphere outward.

  • Happy with your job or career, but want to accelerate promotion?

Maybe you're being overlooked for a career or promotion and are at a loss for what you need to do.

How do you set yourself up for incremental career growth and overall success?

  • We'll do a detailed review of the technical and behavioral skills that are increasingly in-demand as well as those that seem to be must-haves for the future.

    We cover things like:
    — How to enhance your profile for success
    — How to become more attractive as a candidate to prospective employers
    — Learning and development tools to upskill

  • There are certain aspects of how you approach and perform in your job that can derail your success at any time. It's important to become aware of them, correct and eliminate them, so that you can continue on your journey to maximize your career success.

  • Whether we work on only one topic or go through several, I am here so you can check back in, debrief and review your progress on anything we've covered together. This allows you time for integration and practice, with the opportunity to ask questions and ensure understanding and proper implementation. We can review and schedule additional check-in and follow-up sessions, as needed.

Your ECEC Journey beings with a 30-minute 1:1 call to determine if the ECEC approach is the right fit and which trajectory would be most beneficial to you.
